[Music] hi everyone I’m Kathy from Kathy’s vegan kitchen I hope you’re enjoying the recipes and if you do hit that subscribe button and don’t forget to comment today we’re having a vegan steak dinner and we’re going to eat meaty we’re going to do these classic steaks and what they are is they’re mushroom Roots it’s not like fake meat like beyond meat or impossible meat it’s a mushroom root it’s it’s kind of like a Portell mushroom but better and all it has is a mushroom root vegetable juice and fruit juice for color that’s it it has 1 gram of fat 120 calories per steak there is two mushroom steaks in the package it has zero saturated fat zero trans fat zero cholesterol 240 milligrams of sodium 10 total carbohydrates 8 G of fiber and 17 gr of protein great product so we did the chicken cutlets before and we made a chicken Euro today we’re going to have a steak dinner so there’s two ways you can cook it you can sauté it on the stove in a pan or you can Grill it outside now you can do it frozen or you can do it thaw so what I did was I took the fro Frozen package and I took the steaks out and what I did is I marinated them in two to three tablespoons of vegan wores sauce I like Annie brand or I like Wizards and then I put some montere seasoning steak seasoning on top and some fresh garlic cloves and I actually let the steaks thaw in the marinade in the refrigerator and so if you cook them from Frozen it takes 23 minutes if you cook them thaw it only takes 12 minutes and you’re going to flip them on that Grill every two minutes so that’s three four times okay now Paul is the grill master so we’re going to let him Grill the steaks outside and in the meantime I’ve prepared a large salad I have baked potatoes in the oven I’m going to make some mushrooms and onions um G or sauteed in a pan and I’m going to make my famous Asian style green beans which is also a recipe on my blog Fresh Ranch dressing vegan so delicious also on my blog and I will definitely link all of these recipes right underneath the video so let’s take those steaks outside and have Paul Grill hi everyone welcome to Grilling and Chilling with Paul interrupted your previously scheduled program but we’re going to cook those um mushroom steaks that Kathy talked about inside um I’m going to put them on the grill kind of sideways so I can get some nice grill marks on them I got to flip them six times three times three times two minutes on each side that’s right so two minute timer is going to be starting now and okay um actually I had to cook it a little longer than the package said the package said 12 minutes I think it kind of rained a little bit on us so the grill didn’t get as hot as it was so I did like 15 minutes but they look pretty darn good so that was to get to the 165 temperature too by the way so now you take these off and you let them rest for several minutes and U we’ll eat them okay so to make my mushrooms and onions on the skillet I had 8 ounces of mushrooms and a half of a white onion I threw it in a dry Skillet I added couple tablespoons of white wine which you don’t have to do you could use vegetable broth instead and I added a little of that montere seasoning as well and that’s it I have baked potatoes that I made and then I did my green bean recipe if you’d like to see that it’s at Asian green beans that I made recently on a video also on my blog and we have this beautiful salad and Sunday feast day Sunday past day and yummy yummy vegan ranch dressing and Paul wanted a one sauce today did you know A1 sauce is Accidentally Vegan I didn’t know that so I bought some for him today so to Plate this up we are going to put the vegan steak on the plate I am going to add yummy mushrooms and onions on to and next to the steak and I am going to you P some green beans and a little parsley on top not mistake whatever and there is our meia classic steak mushroom dinner Paul’s going to taste test and let us know what he thinks okay I’m going in I’m put a little bit A1 sauce on there I better shake it first a little bit okay this is the least used utensil in our house the steak knife but today we’re going to use it today you’re using a steak knife for a fake mushroom we had to find the steak Knife I mushroom oh man okay do little mushroom do Little Onion m good is it good it’s a textur like meat like if I remember it if you remember what meat tastes like that’s what it tastes like really is it tastes like a mushroom I do no there’s no mushroom at all you marinated it nice and cuts look at that nice beautiful all right so do we buy that again yeah yeah we get that done all right thanks steak sandwiches maybe thanks for coming today and seeing us let us know if you like it by commenting meting State coming bye bye [Music]

  4. Looks really good. I tried the steak but I didn’t marinate it and do all the steps like you did. I guess I have to try it again!

    I really love the crispy chick’n Meati patties. I eat those all the time on salads or in sandwiches are just plain. It is a great product, I agree! ❤

    I find them at Safeway and Sprout’s market in Northern California.
