    What’s it called?

    What’s it taste like?

    Can I get a slice?

I got once as a gift. Interesting caramel notes and texture but the sweetness was too much for me

what an odd color. looks just like a hunk of butter fudge instead of cheese. feels like it would be really rich.

A friend of mine brought me this brick twice from when he goes to.visit his dad’s family, I still remember the flavour and texture, thanks for the flashback, I will order it online now 🙂

Half of this sub is Americans discovering basic cheeses for the first time in their lives.

The cheese that is not a cheese, IMO of course. You can make a fabulous “cheese” and mushroom soup with it though 😋

I grew up eating this! It’s goat cheese and AMAZING!!

Haven’t had gjetost since I was a kid! Would love to have some again, looks good

Hmmm. Toast, apple butter and creamy peanut butter.

    I’m hungry now.

  10. With a Granny Smith Apple. One of my favorite charcuterie combos

  11. My Norwegian brother in law gave me some of this. The best thing about it was that thud it made when it slid from the plate into the bin.

  12. Tastes like the orange cheese sandwich crackers you buy at the store imo

Goes well with toast and a cup of coffee for breakfast.

My favourite thing to bring home from Norway. Serve on hot waffles with jam and you’ll be in heaven

Ghetost!! I know I spelled it wrong but it’s a caramelized goat cheese! I used to get it from Whole Foods. It’s pretty good and a strange, slightly acquired taste. Amazing on a saltier cracker 🙂

Just got back from Norway, it’s awesome on waffles with jam

Try this on apple slices, your life will be changed.

It’s weird seeing so many people calling this “gjetost”. In norway this is called “brunost” or “brown cheese”. It is beloved by most norwegians and is kind of a meme for being very stereotypically norwegian.

Fjåk makes a brown cheese chocolate bar that’s incredible

  20. Gjetost, the taste of my childhood! Occasionally the Ralph’s next to me has a 50% off deal so I grab it and then eat it with breakfast
