Caprese is my #1 favorite side for steak. Enjoy it, everything looks phenomenal!

Better man than I. I’d double the steak size and forget everything else. True Batchelor style.

Great to see you didn’t undercook this and it would actual be edible for more than 2-3 bites.

    Looks incredible mate, enjoy

I’d be livid if my pops secretly had this skill set and hid it til we were all out of the house.

  13. What a perverse relationship you have with your wife and kids. Break out the good stuff when you’re together, scrounge/subsist while they’re gone.

  14. Acidic_Junk

I’m not the only one who runs to the store for an expensive steak when the wife and kids are out of town.

This is the best plate I’ve seen on this sub. You took as much care for the sides as the main event, which I throughly appreciate. So tired of seeing a piece of meat with crap sides.

Looks amazing. I hope you thoroughly enjoyed it and that your wife and kids get back home safely.

    Have a great weekend.

Looks great but I would share with my family. I know you said the kids don’t appreciate it, but maybe it’s because they get it very often. My kids are 11 and 14 and they know good food and have eaten many, many great meals. They know the difference between choice and dry aged, they understand that it’s not something we can always have so they cherish every bite. That steak looks fantastic, but I would much rather slice it up and split it between my family.

My son was 8 in this pic. He was so excited to devour this platter. Alone would have been so lonely. He still talks about it and he’s had many more since this time.

You get married and have kids just to hide good shit until they leave.

And folks wonder why they’re against marriage and kids these days ..

  18. hybridaaroncarroll

    That’s some gourmet shit!

How did you keep your zucchini from turning into wiggly strips of mush ?

  19. turok_dino_hunter

I get that you’re probably joking with the title brotha, keep your head up. Everything looks great!
