You can definitely find green tea ice cream in the states, but it’s always so sweet. The Japanese stuff is much more tea forward. I miss it, but will be back in Japan in September!

Also you can make your own green tea ice cream. Pretty easy, look up the recipe on youtube. You can adjust the sweetness or bitterness to taste.

In addition to that authentic, not too sweet green tea flavor there’s just something better about the Japanese dairy too. I’m lactose intolerant and had zero issue eating at least two soft serves a day in Japan
