Such a great spot. So tiny, maybe 6 total tables. Very casual. Probably the first time in my fine dining experience where I had a positive experience with food but the wine outshone it. The Somm here is a genius (Simone).
Service was impeccable. Pacing was really quick, which we love. Everyone was attentive, we were never without or for want of anything.
Food was all delicious. There were a few twists here and there, like raspberry in an olive focaccia which sounds awful but surprisingly works. Plenty of courses, a mix of plant and protein base, most of which was seafood.
Wine really shone through here, we had a 2003 chard, some natural wines, some more traditional wines and one of the best dessert pairings I’ve ever had. He was so busy considering number of tables. Absolute wizard.
If you can get a seat here, I highly recommend it. Great value and really performs to a 2 star or better.
