Are the patties that gray thing mixed with the cheese? Lol

Guessing you cooked it using that George foreman looking thing?

If I could see the burger I could comment on it

I guess. But a burger patty with a crust really puts it over the top imo.

Looks good to me! If you like cooking inside better, try searing on cast iron at a high heat to get the crust (with good ventilation)

Looks yummy. I’d give you a 10. I hate to critique what I can’t taste, so, good going.

This is preference, but I always put the cheese directly on top of the patty so the heat will melt better cause what rises and whatnot. The lettuce should be placed on the bottom between the bun and patty. The heat will cause the lettuce to warm and wilt faster. I prefer a bit of a crunch of lettuce in my burger, so the lettuce stays a bit crunchier for longer. I’m unsure if you added any sauces, but those should be applied on the bottom bun if cold, top bun for warm sauces.

Ingredient placement on a burger can have a major impact on the taste and quality of the burger itself. It can turn an okay burger into a good burger and vice versa.

Someone has more fries than other, a violation in my book

Your first attempt looks good. With practice, you will continue to improve.

Send me the burgers to France, I’ll judge by the taste

Yeah. Take pics of the actual burger so we can see it.

This is a hard picture to judge anything from.

Try not to handle the meat too much while you’re forming the patties. The “looseness” of the meat is what makes the burger tender and keeps it from turning into just a solid puck of bouncy meat, it also allows juices to flow better while it’s cooking but more importantly while you’re eating it. I also would not recommend putting anything into the meat mixture other than another meat, such as adding a little ground pork. A lot of people like to put onions in their mixture but onions secrete water while they’re cooking, and no one wants that.
Don’t season your meat until you are seconds away from throwing them in the pan, as the seasoning will draw the moisture out of the raw meat.
You want a fairly high heat, you’re looking for what’s called a “Maillard Reaction” which is basically going right up to the line of burning without crossing it.
Don’t press your burgers into the skillet while you’re cooking them because it squeezes all the juices out and collapses the inside of the burger, getting back to the bouncy, chewy, “puck” of meat.
Toasting your buns keeps them from getting soggy and falling apart.

Your chips look good but why paper plates?

Char that sucker a bit with a nice crust of seasoning of your choice

If you loved it, it is perfect. Who cares what us reddit folks think?! Feast, my friend! Feast!

  16. Try smashing the patties more and brioche buns 🙏

  17. PalinDoesntSeeRussia

Why did you put the cheese under the patty? Lol

Just remember that you don’t have to cook the hell out of it in order for it to be edible. It’s extremely easy to overcook a ground beef patty and it will ruin an entire meal. Quality beef/bun and some salt/pepper is usually all it takes for a solid burger base

If it wasn’t for the whole wheat buns, I’d be happy to receive this.

I did read you went to 160, which is over where I usually like it, but that I can look past that if I’m getting it for free. Good cheese coverage, and I prefer the lettuce on top so this is great. Fries look great too
