A taste of heaven:

From beginning to the end, the tasting menu showed class, taste, diversity but also the local / irish culture.

As I wasn‘t in the mood for the wine pairing, I selected 2 cocktails, 2 whiskeys and a beer, which service paired quickly and they all fit the upcoming dishes.
The cocktails were rich and surprised me with tastes I‘ve never had before. Both irish whiskeys were interesting and the ginger beer was mixed with bitters and lime which made it even more refreshing.

The experience was never boring even though I was visiting by myself and it lasted more than 2 hours. There was never a long break and I was always busy with either beverage or food.

Wisely, I chose a seat with a view to the kitchen so I could always have my eyes on the process and the staff seem to enjoy what they do and that definitely shows in the menu and also in the service. Every member is knowledgeable and they are always happy to answer any questions.

By tasting every dish with each ingredient separately and all together my mind was blown to how some fairly different tastes could fit so well together.
Before desert, I started feeling full (including the add-on of local cheese, honey, barmbrack and walnut which – as a swiss I was impressed by the cheese as well as the honey), and with the sweet ending I had just the perfect amount of food, even though I usually have a bigger appetite than the average.

All in all I couldn‘t have chosen a better place to start off my holidays as a foodie.
The whole experience was like a fairytale.
A huge thank you and bravo to the team!

    I can only recommend visiting if you‘re in the area.
    All in all it cost me a total of just below 140€.

    My personal favourites were:
    Tuna Toast and the dill pickle,
    Lamb with the three different parts and the black garlic;
    Ricotta ice cream
    Curtain call cocktail – so rich in coffee flavour and alcohol, it was perfect.
