Wedding almost didn’t happen


Couple order a wedding cake 2 months out.

Few weeks later got a call canceling the cake.. the groom to be was found unconscious at work. No known cause.. was coma for a few weeks and when he woke up he didn't remember his fiance.

The original date for the wedding passed and then 10-11 months he regained his memory. They decided to hold the wedding almost immediately because they didn't know what the future held.

Quickest wedding cake in about 12 hours I've ever thrown together!

    I’ll be honest I couldn’t have handled the emotional pressure in a situation like that, I would’ve had to refuse. If that was my husband I’d be completely inconsolable. You did great.

    That is horrifying and it’s crazy how that happens.

    My brother in law’s wife also randomly fell unconscious (thankfully they were together) and she was in a medically induced coma for at least a week. When she regained consciousness she had some memory loss but it didn’t last more than a couple of days and she still remembered her husband and kids, she also has partial immobility in one of her legs from the knee down that is still present a few years later. They don’t know what happened but they both are taking a lot of care for their health now and closer than ever. My BIL has aged a lot in worry since then but their love is strong.
