This is a pork shoulder I’ve had in the freezer. It was wrapped up by the butcher but when I thawed it out, I noticed this dark mark. The meat has no smell.

Anyone have any idea what this could be, and if it’s bad? Thanks

    could be oxidation, i would at the very least trim off the dark spots if you decide to eat it

    That does not look appetizing. If it does not smell or feel slimy otherwise, you might be able to cut it off generously and still enjoy the rest. Note how it also seems to start at the right side of the fat. That makes me weary.
