I’m an amateur in making burgers, but looking to step my burgers up. Caramelized onions and fig jam is two of my favourites on a smashed burger atm.

Any tips and tricks from you guys to take it to the next level? Any specific ingredients that I can’t miss out on? Or different ways of cooking that makes the difference?

Feel free to roast my cooking, bring some advice or whatever. Thanks!

    Brioche bun
    80/20 ground chuck
Sometimes I grind chuck, beef, and sirloin. I like to experiment.
Kraft deli select cheese. Although I recently hear delis sell tilamook which is supposed to be good.
    Dukes mayonnaise.
    Plochmans mustard.
Can’t say I prefer any other bacon over another, but I’m sure somebody here can chime in on that.

With the caramelised onions I would definitely add a soft pungent cheese like a melted Brie or Camembert to offset the sweetness.

Add a slice of bacon in there also the flavour levels work beautifully.

I like to season my patties with the Famous Dave’s Steak and Burger seasoning.
