Been told these are the largest cherry tomato plants many people had ever seen. (Pitbull for scale)
She's about 40 pounds as additional reference. They were standing over 7 feet tall before they outgrew their tower and I had to start tying to the roof
Nice tomato guardian there! Probably don’t lose many to squirrels do you?!

I have a couple of sweet treat cherry tomato plants that are a little over 7ft. Look a lot like those. They just grow like crazy.

Ehh. That’s OK. I’ll post a picture of mine when I get a chance. I topped it at 8ft tall.

7 feet tall isn’t that crazy for a cherry tomato. They can grow to 15 feet or taller in a frost free climate but even as an annual 10 feet or more isn’t unheard of if the season is long enough and diseases like blight or wilt are prevented

That’s an impressive size for a CONTAINER grown tomato! Kudos to you! It’s easy to grow large tomato plants in the ground, and more challenging to grow them in a pot

I have a 25ft long wild tomato. Solanum peruvianum. It’s pretty massive and the fruit tastes good.
