The ongoing squash saga from last week. Posted, as requested with a shovel for scale, if you can find it!
In short. I had a chicken coop on this spot for 4 years and had about 4" of gravel, shavings and chicken poo compacted up. I turned it over and chucked 100 or so random squash, pumpkin and melon seeds out. Put down a now tremendously buried Drip system.
Thought there would be too much N for anything else. Figured if it failed, what the heck? I'm out some seeds.
Welp, fail it didn't, and now I've still got 2 months of growing season left. Hopefully it won't consume the whole garden, but at this rate….

I think it is beautiful.
God I want to go look in there and see how many fruits you have! Looks gorgeous
This is not a whoops. I have 2 pumpkin patches. I love how bright and cheerful squash flowers are. This is marvelous. 😍
Impressive! Are these vines producing fruit?
We need an aerial photo to see how much time you have left to defend other parts of the garden. Then we can recommend lines of defense.
This is beautiful, just proceed with caution. My lovely cucumbers were destroyed by cucumber beetles spreading fusarium wilt and now my vines are all dying 😭
Do everything you can to prevent or kill them.
