Yes, but never of a filet mignon lol
My first taste of A5 striploin (an utter explosion of beef flavor) and a perfectly perfect in every way 45-day aged homemade ribeye.
Still think of those bites years later.

I thought about this steak for weeks
As a Tejano, steak is always on my mind. Day and night.
Matter of fact… doctor said I eat so much steak, I could have a heart attack any day now 🤣🤣 Guess I gotta lay off for a little ☹️

Sousvede a London broil for 7 hours with fresh garlic, butter, fresh thyme, and dried rosemary (forgot to by some fresh lul) the meat sat in some sea salt for 2 days before hand and I seasoned with fresh black pepper then put it in the bag was so tender I was aiming for a little tiny bit over medium rare but got a solid medium my second time using it since we bought it my next cook in it I’ll for sure dial it in.
It was so good it had this weird addictive taste the family kept coming back for slice after slice I think if I do it again I’m gonna aim for medium rare or even rare then make like a au jus bath for it and make some wicked philly cheese steaks I dunno just a quick idea gonna do some testing can’t wait to try more stuff with the sousvede.
Also the cut had beautiful marbling it looked like prime cut it was like $16-$17 for the big old 2.35 lb piece of heaven wish I would have thought to take a pic to share.
Man I can’t even find a image that even looked like it the marbling was so nice.
Did you consider eating something with it other than a lump of meat on a plate?
There is one. Like your first kiss or when your child was born. Something I will not forget.
It’s usually about 12-24hrs for me..
Yeah, every few months, I shell out a good $150 for an A5 Wagyu steak online. It’s always a special experience.
Usually I get NY Strip but switch it up with a Ribeye every now and then
My dad and I went deer hunting one year in Elko, NV. We were unprepared for how fucking cold it was so we got a motel room instead. There was a diner next door that served one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Took up almost the entire plate, I made 3 good sized sandwiches out of the leftovers the next day.
I thought about this ribeye I grilled back on the 7th of July. Not a good picture, but I was already nearly done eating it
