I had no clue that tomato plants got that big it is amazing and every time they fall over they just double in size all the way around I've never seen nothing like them
My jalapenos looked sun burnt and died. I guess I was over watering??? Still not sure. But I have some great tomato plants. Saw a video that said to lay them to the side at a young age. Mine fell over to the side as the were growing. Now I have three times the shoots and more growing tomatoes.
The first thing I thought before you started talking was the ocra is too big. I grew upon the country and my grandfather always had a big garden. He planted Clemson spineless ocra. Always pick it small or it’s tough and woody.😁
Same thing applies to all annual plant! (Plants that start as a seed and die by the end of the season) okra included!
I grow a lot of cucumbers and they follow the same logic. I NEVER let my cucumbers mature because after one of them ripens it’s over for my harvest season!
Peppers and eggplants and tomatos won’t have this problem since they’re perennials and don’t have the genetic holdup of HAVING to make more of themselves every year which allows for us to be a little less picky for them.
Besides this trick with the cucumbers I learned a lot of annual flowers will also not rebloom unless you cut them like Zinnias! I have one zinnia plant right now that I let go to seed and it looks brown and dead now but all my other zinnias that I dead-headed still look gorgeous and are still putting out new blooms today!
yep not only is Okra best small, but it's a plant that keeps on giving. Listen to your elders in all facets of life. they have been there and done that. You can learn how to avoid pitfalls whether gardening or every day things. Happy Gardening.

Don't let your basil flower it'll make it taste bitter. thank you for the okra tip though.
Wasting my harvest 😕 I have a good amount of peppers growing and I pull them and don't preserve them so they go bad😩😞
Grew eight ft tomato plants and four ft wide and it got way out of control

Sugar snap peas are the same. Pick and eat, they'll make more!

I planted potatoes close to cucumbers. The potato plants blew up shading the cucumber. 😟
