Made pickles on July 14th. My first time canning. Went to check on them and saw this cloudy sediment.

    My Ball Recipe Guide book indicates that this can simply be from minerals in the water. I have seen similar in my pickles over the years and we do draw off a well. I would expect responses to be varied on this topic, but that’s what my book says. I can snap a picture of the chart they have in the book that shows common results and what they mean later on tonight when I have it in front of me.

    Did you use canning salt or table salt? Table salt creates clouds with the anti caking agents
