I’ve never seen the spots before, are they normal is the meat safe to eat? I just thawed it out to cook pot roast and I wanna make sure I’ve never seen this before so I’m kinda scared ! Educate me please

Does it say that it’s blade tenderized on the label? Maybe it’s damage or contamination from that.

Going off of the date on it I’m going to assume that this was frozen and then defrosted. Those spots are freezer burn. There was probably mirco tares in the plastic wrap allowing air to come into contact with the meat in those spots while in the freezer, thus causing freezer burn. Should be fine to eat.
