Seems to be idk separated? Crushed tomatoes canned with citric acid and some herbs.

Mine are like thag too. This year I think im going to cook them down a little before canning.

Yes, that is normal, especially if you raw pack. When you go to use them you can either mix it all back up or you can drain the liquid off the bottom and discard if you want them thicker.

Personally I cook them down more so there’s little visible water content. Make sure you’re salting them and leaving them to drain over night in the fridge after they’ve been skinned.

I cook them down a lot more before canning, to make more efficient use of jars and storage space. If you cook them down a good bit first, they won’t separate like this. I mean, I simmer for a couple of hours or more
