I'm at a restaurant in Florida called Prime Steakhouse and the have these unusual but amazing dinner rolls. The insides almost remind me of the inside of an eclair. I'd love to find a recipe. Thx

Looks like a very mishapen Yorkshire pudding, they are very nice and very simple to recreate.

We call them “miške” in my country. Translate to little mice or frittella in italian. They are smaller tho, but structure is the same.

Looks like home made yorkshire puddings – this is what mine come out like when I make my own rather than buy them

  4. Yorkshire pudding. Super easy to make in principle. Super nice

  5. Mix equal parts plain flour, egg and milk (add a little water to the milk)

    put mix in fridge.

    Heat oven to 200°C

Put cupcake tin in oven with a little bit of oil or goose fat in each section

Once fat is hot and mix is cold very quickly pour a bit of mix in each section and cook for 25-30 minutes

Don’t open the oven till they are done. Should’ve risen and be nicely brown like the ones in the picture

    Just basic popovers, here’s a rec [Barefoot Contessa | Popovers | Recipes](https://barefootcontessa.com/recipes/popovers)

If you’ve had dutch babies, Yorkshire puddings, certain types of brazilian cheese breads, etc. it’s all the same batter.

The way they puff up is that there is a lot of moisture in the batter and you pre-heat the cooking vessel with some fat in it so that it will almost fry, expand and climb. You can also get more exciting than just plain batter by adding stuff like black pepper or cheese.

  7. These are awesome with pot roast and gravy, cabbage, and carrots.

Different between Yorkshire pudding is cooked in meat fat, popovers are cooked in butter. Same recipe, cooking technique

They’re just popovers, and you can find recipes on any reliable website – Serious Eats, ATK, Food Network, etc. Although many recipes say you can use cupcake pans, in my experience actual popover tins work best.

  13. Yes popover.

King Arthur website has a great popover recipe video. They are best in a popover specific pan.

It is a Yorkshire Pudding, despite the name a savoury dish. I would suggest the BBC good food recipe for how to make it, also refigerate your batter and pour it into heated oil for the best inflation effects

Popovers! My mom used to make them for us when I was young. We would fill them with vanilla or chocolate pudding, but they’re great with butter too.

It’s a popover the bane of my cooking life! I can never get them right lol. Mine have always come out dense and eggs.
