If eating a burger is a pain in the ass, or you have to wolf it down so fast that you can’t enjoy it because it’s falling apart, you’re undermining the experience. Make wider, flatter burgers that you can actually enjoy eating. I think people are driven to make these tall overstuffed burgers for the photo op, not because it’s a better eating experience, and if the eating experience isn’t on point, what then, are we really doing?

This is so messy. The tomato is the first realization that the chef does not care. Both sliders or burgers are made differently. The meat is hidden and I would not order this again just on appearance.

The problem with burgers is that it’s hard to jazz them up without making them worse than the basic: toasted potato bun, medium patty, melted American cheese, sliced pickles, and some kind of tangy sauce.
It’s possible to do something interesting outside of that formula, but this ain’t it for me.
