I know a lot of people like Culver’s, but I’ve been 4 or 5 times and it just isn’t for me. It’s boring

  2. That looks awful. I’m sorry.

Tbf, Reubens should not be on as many menus as they are. Any time I see a menu with one I’m immediately skeptical. If it’s a place that also has shit like spaghetti, fried shrimp, salmon, steak, and breaded wings, it’s guaranteed to be a “Sysco-special dinner” featuring whatever their freezer can hold.

I once worked at a place that had a Reuben special for St Patrick’s Day every year. Well the year before covid they committed to a lot of product back at the supplier thinking we’d have like the biggest st patties ever.

We ended up with a Reuben special for two years. I absolutely fucking HATED when people ordered it. We could never keep it thawed because then it’d go bad, so we had to cook from frozen..

The end result was pretty much what you got served today.

Reubens are only good at a place that serves lots of them. I am positive that this location (probably most culver’s outside of St Patrick’s Day) does not. Corned beef is a niche item, either you serve it a lot and it’s fresh or you don’t and it’s frozen bullshit.

I love Culver’s and their Reuben is surprisingly delicious!

  4. We used to do a ruben from time to time at my job. It’s a wet sandwich because of the sauerkraut. If you didn’t give it enough space on the grill or if you heated it in a pile, it turned into a sloppy mess. Then it would go on the grilled rye and get topped off. Most of the time, customers would ask to throw it back on the grill, the kraut would sweat more, and it looked more like cb hash than a sandwich. I still like to make them at home sometimes. Then you have more control. My go-to Culver’s is a bacon burger, lettuce and pickles, cheddar instead of american.

Looks good but why you have a death grip on it?

Stick with the burgers at Culver’s. The tenderloin is also second rate

I recently discovered Culver’s and it’s my new favorite place for burgers. Didn’t realize they have a ruben.

I’ve been meaning to try Culver’s Rueben, but the burgers are just so damn solid, I typically go that route. But damn am I craving a Rueben now.

This looks like a decent sandwich photographed as poorly as possible.

  13. Tomalesforbreakfast

He’s trying to murder the sandwich

  14. Griddle fried corned beef or pastrami is an instant loser.

  15. the_hat_madder

This is not a proper Reuben and that meat looks like it was in the tanning booth too long.

  16. de1casino

That’s an entire cow between two stalks of wheat.

  17. Icookgoodbutta215

Looks like it’s on French toast lol looks good thow

  18. Worked at Culver’s 19 years ago (Jesus)

I’ve ordered the same three entrees consistently since. The Reuben is one of them. Another was discontinued. The third I have to explain how to ring up.

    #Culvers is fucking delicious.
