I’ve always eaten fairly healthy, and leaned towards a Mediterranean style of eating (without realizing it).

At the beginning of the year I went on a big “health kick” and became very restrictive with what I ate (solely focusing on calories in, calories out) which led to some pretty strict meals, and a fairly miserable person. It also started triggering my OCD and anxiety more than I realized.

So as of late, I’ve decided to focus more on a Mediterranean style of eating/living. I already know I love the types of food it incorporates, so why not keep it going.
Still having trouble incorporating oils/fats (even avocado) because in my mind fats = “FAT”. But I’m getting there. 😊

My afternoon snack plate includes peppers stuffed with red pepper hummus, chopped arugula, dill and a few pickles. Pistachios and pumpkin seeds. As well as a sliced up peach!
It’s nothing fancy, but it’s delicious!
