Followed Sally's baking addiction recipe 1.5x the recipe, ended up needing like an entire extra 1-2 cups of flour, nearly broke my mixer in the process, but it turned out just about perfect.

Great job, monkey bread definitely counts! It’s like making rolls but extra work. FYI, you can do savory monkey bread with melted garlic butter and grated Parmasean.
Also, it’s totally normal to use more flour than called for in a bread recipe, especially if you live somewhere humid. An extra 1-3 cups of flour for that amount of dough might be necessary!
