A Beef. Probably the closest I can get without baking bread.

Malort and a beef sandwich. You are a well-cultured Chicago Townie.

  2. That looks legit with the giardinera. Sandwich would disappear fast.

Hey I tried Malort for the first time last week! It’s still on my tongue!

Was going to say this looks like what they’re serving on The Bear. FX show. Makes me really want to go to Chicago and try one of these.

Mouth watering sandwich and deliciously rustic looking fires. And, apparently, the only non Chicagoan peasant commenting here I’m all in on the Jamo chaser.

I moved to Portland a few years ago. Going back to Chicago this Friday to visit. First thing I’m doing is getting an Italian beef. Portland has no signature food. It’s actually quite astounding that they consider themselves a food town here.

Wait people actually buy Malort to keep at home, I thought it was just a joke liquor you give it people visiting from out of town?

  8. Hell yeah dude. I use the turano french rolls but that looks baller. Hope you soaked that bread!

Mmm. This reminds me it’s time to replenish my barrel aged Malört.
