That’s a hard pass from me, Pb+jelly with bacon sounds awful but each to there own?

  2. Significant_Dark2062

Didn’t Elvis die from a heart attack?

  3. ranseaside

I would try it with less of everything. Sweet salty is a good combo. pB+Bacon sounds like it will be yummy but there’s no way I could eat that much jam. Sweetness overload, but nice flavor combo

Don’t like the bread choice. But combo of ingredients are great.

Probably would have gone with grape jelly to make it authentic. I’m sure it’s f’n delicious anyway, and certainly not f’n delicious enough to fly to Denver for one.

Imagine actually having to go to the description for the recipe after watching this.

  7. This was Elvis’s go to sandwich, he would eat the entire loaf like this. If he was (sober enough) patient his chef/cook would batter and deep fry the whole sandwich

  8. The-Son-of-Dad

The movie “What If” has a storyline that revolves around a fool’s gold sandwich, it’s pretty cute actually.

Supposed to be grilled/fried too, though

  11. 12345NoNamesLeft

Hollowing out the loaf ruins the bread/filling ratio

When people ask me about the culinary contributions of Denver I point them to this

  13. hurriedwarples

Hang on, why am I spreading butter or bacon grease onto the bread only to then hollow it out later and thus removing the buttery/greasy bread?

  14. OkFortune6494

Hell yeah. This is what killed Elvis. Well, that and all the amphetamines.

  15. odiin1731

This seems like something someone who died on the toilet would eat.

  16. Squeengeebanjo

He also ate a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich. It’s kind of spectacular

  20. KindaKrayz222

So I thought it was blueberry or huckleberry jam, but nonetheless *bomb*!😋

  21. Sooo PBnJ with bacon? Y’all find a way to “gourmet” everything, huh?

  22. brewberry_cobbler

That’s was the us that really the full pound of bacon? Looks like a lot less

  23. thenormalcanuck

This should be in “stupid food”. Love the way all the bacon fell out when he cut it….. should have mixed em first

  24. DurasVircondelet

You couldn’t get on a plane to Colorado to get this is you wanted. Colorado Mine Company closed years ago

Bacon toppings, or added to most foods only adds more flavor, potatoes, fillet mignon, even Mac and cheese, I’ve tried and enjoyed maple donuts topped with bacon. But the buck stops here, for me peanut butter and jelly sandwichs, are comfort food. No thank you.

  26. No_Sir_6649

Needs more bacon. Wrong bread. That wasnt grape jelly.

  27. Bean_Daddy_Burritos

I had this at a place not far from Graceland. It was marketed as ‘’ the sandwich that killed Elvis ’’. It was deep fried tho and it was delicious.

  28. Merica_84

Why would you cut a sandwich in half that was already cut in half?!

  29. I don’t trust people who scoop the bread outta the bread

  30. mvanvrancken

I thought this sandwich had banana on it too, so when I made it I added sliced banana

    No regerts
