Well you cooked it then plated it without the bone. That’s enough said there. Just grab a ribeye

The best steaks on earth are the ones that taste best for you. For me, I’d rather spend my money for more ribeye and less bone.

For presentation, beautiful sear, wonderful temp, and nice color contrast with the chimichuri. But why not include the bone since u paid extra for it?

If I ever buy a tomahawk ribeye its so I get a nice ribeye and my dog gets to go to town on a nice beef bone. Dogs can only have uncooked beef bones!

    Bone is pointless.

Well in steak anyway, not in our bodies, we need those.

I’ve never had one that wasn’t underwhelming for the price. There’s like 6 other cuts that have real arguments to make here

After reading the comments, the mental gymnastics is interesting on this one. Just take the L and learn. We all evolve eventually

The caveman mentality of having a big piece of meat with a bone for a handle. To me, it’s just a ribeye with a bone. Doesn’t justify the cost, in my opinion. But to each their own.

Steak noob here. Are there smaller tomahawk steaks that can be eaten like a turkey leg? Asking for science.

Seems like you could cook anything so I’d say it’s not the best because you payed for the weight of the bone…

They’re sometimes loaded with fat that is difficult/impossible to render

    They can cook unevenly

You generally have to do some light butchering to serve vs remove from heat and put on a plate

    Generally not practical for one

    Expensive

Take a long time to prepare

    Difficult to prepare for some

    Nah they’re not the greatest

I had a feeling you didn’t actually want to be convinced of this and the comments prove it lol. You literally have people telling you it’s the exact same steak just without the extra cost as well as links to articles explaining the myth of bones imparting more flavour. Why ask to be convinced of something just to shoot down all the evidence presented to you?

  11. Tomahawks are fun to look at, but if I want the bone in ribeye, I go for the cowboy cut. Rather than pay for a bunch of bone that’s not going to fit on my grill.

    Hey man. Tomahawks suck.

Because all the cool kids and famous people, that only eat steak, once every two years on the internet, post pics and videos of their tomahawks on the internet.

I even seen Steve Harvey eating one cooked by Salt Bay.

    Steve Harvey 😕

    Salt Bae 🙁

    On Facebook ☹️

Seems you are too pig ignorant to be convinced, tomahawks are in no way bad(especially on a grill) but for a normal kitchen, ribeye is king

  14. Johnny_Bizzle

Never understood why people buy tomahawks. Half the steak is bone.

  15. Chaz_Beer

OP’s responses in these comments are very troublesome

  16. Your paying extra for the bone and the spectacle of it. Save your money and buy a good ribeye.

  17. Severe-Taste6281

Really thick bone in ribeyes are better

  18. That looks fantastic. I picked up a Cowboy Ribeye at Sam’s for around $12/lb. It was awesome.
Great job with that epic sear!

  19. Ok they’re not, your paying extra to have a long bone. That being said I love me a tomahawk

  20. matttinatttor

You pay 2x the price fore the same cut of meat, with inedible bits attached (you can’t even get marrow out of it).

It’s a marketers dream, and you seem to have fallen for it.
