  1. This looks like a YouTube prank video; 5 mins in and the actual server actually comes in with his order.

  2. Specialist_Brain841

if it’s that good, who needs plates?

  3. Better hurry up before those stray dogs get closer!

  4. Jenderflux-ScFi

At least it’s being served on parchment paper, and not a shovel.

  5. Square-Way-9751

Wtf is wrong with plates? Let’s make it an international law that you can serve food on dumb things like cutting bords and sh

Off topic but damn if Turkish men aren’t on a whole other level of good looking.

  7. mandalorian222

I mean, this is really not that bad compared to a lot on here

  8. Ancient_Expert8797

what is going on with turkey and food…

  9. Lepke2011

Okay. Plate or no plate, that looks crazy good.

  10. As a southern American who has attended many barbecues and crawfish broils and been served food this way, it doesn’t really seem unusual to me.

Crawfish broils they’ll just dump it on a table covered in newspaper. At least this is food grade parchment, lol.

this.. isn’t that bad.. Misdemeanor at most

  12. Turkey is wild. I went to a restaurant that specializes in Iskander kebabs and after serving us they asked if wanted butter, I said “yes” and they proceeded to pour a whole sauce pan of melted butter over my plate.

  13. We want seating indoors. It looks uncomfortably chilly to be eating outside.

I feel this is a bad example for this sub. It’s plain meat, on parchment paper and not such a crazy quantity you can’t eat it and easy to box up later.

It’s Turkey… They’re saving some money on plates & it adds to the atmosphere. Lots of texas BBQ is served on paper plates… Parchment paper isn’t much different. I just don’t think this fits here.

The thing I notice is the clothing worn by the patrons.
This tells me it’s really cold.
I can’t understand why anyone would choose to eat outside in the cold.

I am often worried that this sub falls too often into a ‘haha foreign people eat funny ‘ deal

And if this is that. Have we never had a real southern boil? Have we never had Fish and chips wrapped up in their native holders a cone of Newspaper?

So less someone can tell me this is inherently weird for the culture and the dish. Which knowing Greek Mezzes and Kabobs well enough I can say probably isn’t.

I’ll need to ask. Why a plate?
