My local Lidl was selling picanha for once. As soon as I went back to buy more they were all sold out. First time making it. 1 hour in the oven and then finished off on the cast iron pan.

    I recommend looking up Guga Foods method on YouTube. It’s the traditional Brazilian method, and is fantastic.

    YES! that is how you cut a steak! thank you for cutting against the grain, I see so many posts on here where a gorgeous steak is cut completely wrong. it’s so sad. you’re doing gods work.

    zero grey band and a super hard sear but there is a completely unrenderd fat cap. also nice medium rare. good steak nice job just work on rendering more fat
