The seasons crop from my three tomato plants. Canned August 31. Been doing this for over 30 years and this is the smallest output in all that time, hardly enough for four pots of chili. Well there’s always next year.

  2. The excessive rain and then high heat messed up the tomatoes in my parent’s garden. 😭 It’s just not been a great tomato year from what Im hearing!

Our tomatoes aren’t producing well either. The farmer I usually get extra for canning said he won’t have any to sell this year.

I go to the farmer. Just got 3 full boxes and canned 35 quarts.

It was a tough year this year. My peppers way underperformed and my tomato yield was sub-par.
