Went to the Briny Swine this weekend with some family who was visiting, and thought I’d give my review!

Starter: the only starter we got for the table was the brussels sprouts. They were delicious, charred perfectly, and the hot sorghum drizzle was excellent.

Main course: I got the Saturday prime rib special pictured in this post. It was awesome! The crust was the perfect level of salty and crispy while not taking away from the juiciness and tenderness of the prime rib. The baked potato was a fine side, pretty uninspiring given it’s just a plain baked potato, and my only regret was I ate too much of the potato and couldn’t finish the meat. This special in my opinion is a steal at $45 though. I don’t drink but you’re also able to pair it with a half price glass or bottle of Cab which feels like an even better deal.

Other members of my family, who are from Texas, enjoyed the brisket and ribs as well as the sides of baked beans, Mac and cheese, and corn casserole. The sausage had a little different taste than what they’re used to in Texas and didn’t go over as highly but was still cleaned up, and the pork belly they felt was just alright. The other comment made was the “hot” bbq sauce wasn’t hot at all which I agreed with. Very little heat was in that sauce.

Overall, the service was great, food was good, and I would definitely go back again to try other things on the menu. 4 stars out of 5 for me!
