Anyone else have a certain cup preference for the type of roast/bean you’re using (I mainly drink straight shots)? I prefer my light roasts in the Vero, medium roasts in the Monty, and dark roast in the Acme. Or, is it just me? 🤣

Amber not neutral makes me happy.

You’re on another level ! Lol. I just know for a fact I need my espresso in a ceramic cup. It dissipates heat better and I don’t want a piping hot shot.

I took up ceramics and am working with porcelain to get my perfect cup. Totally a normal thing to do.
Fun fact: espresso, tequila and sake all like similar cups.

I have like… 7 different demitasse cup styles. Some Wedgwood a few randoms from Portugal and 2-3 more traditional style guys. I don’t do it by roast but deff prefer the wider mouth Wedgwood for affogato.

I pick up a cup from local artists/artisans wherever I travel. Running around 11 cups right now.
The cup in the image is made by an old Korean couple and I just love it.

Makes some sense to me: the Acme is a two-tone ceramic cup that matches the second wave aesthetic and its dark roasts, and the NotNeutral is a modern glass that’s often seen in third wave shops that feature light roasts. And the Fellow is a clean basic look that matches anything.
