DragonCon pop-up work station

  1. Just thought it was cool to see what this little one-table operation at a nerd convention looked like. Rocket R58 I think?

Makes you wonder: how well do you imagine your home machine would perform in a high output commercial setting?

Honestly most of those machines are small scale business capable. Minus having to refill the water tank these bad boys can pull a good quantity of shots a day easy but maintenance would be much more critical.

Your not gonna pull a shot a minute but let’s be real everyone’s going to be wanting a latte or other special drink and you’d be pumping out like 1 drink every 3ish minutes between grind/pull/steam/cashing out. 20 drinks an hour would be realistic. More than that and you’d probably want a backup machine.

I think the bigger issue is that the machine is NSF compliant so you can legally use it for commercial use.

But yea that’s a Cinqantotto/R58. If I wanted to do a pop up id likely get a pro700 or synchronika at the very least.
Or a pro 800🤤. That would be perfect, you’d have a hard time pounding through that boiler.

I have a flair 58+, and my work flow is trash. I used to have a La Scala Butterfly and Mazzer Jolly which I would pop up at homeless feedings and protest events to serve free coffee. I spent 7 years as a professional barista.

Fuck, normally at conventions the coffee is garbage, so this is awesome.
