My first few attempts have turned out great! I’d like some more sourness so planning to cold proof longer on the next loaf.
Wondering how people store their bread and how long it lasts?
I’ve been cutting some up and freezing it for toast which has worked well but a little wasteful of the sandwhich bags.

I freeze half eat half since it’s just me
What you don’t eat in 3 days, pre slice and freeze. Recommend putting parchment paper between the slices.
In my belly.
In addition to slicing and freezing, sometimes I will freeze then rebake an entire second load
I use a canvas bread bag, in a bread box. Keeps loaves fresher than the fridge.
From what I have read… I haven’t made any myself….
### **Long-Term Storage:**
– **Room Temperature:** Store the bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
– ** Refrigeration :** Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
– ** Freezing :** Slice and freeze in an airtight bag for up to 3 months. Toast slices from frozen. -OR- Thaw at room temperature.
I slice it and vacuum seal it, with 2 slices in each bag. Helps to freeze it a bit first before vacuum sealing
I have a bread box that I put the bread in which I either wrap with aluminum foil or throw a tea towel over it. It’s just 2 people in my house and we usually use it up within 4 days but it can last up to 7 days depending on temp, humidity ect
