Cooked on vibes alone (thermometer has been broken). Should have kept it on for another minute or 2 but was damn tasty either way. The steaks have been looking too good on here lately. Keep it up folks!

Steak with a side of steak is one of my go to meals. Hard to beat it

I usually plan ahead or get really lazy and just do some frozen broccoli. Also rarely use a thermometer anymore, mine works but I’ve found that I kinda overthink things when I do use mine so I’ve just been cooking with a stopwatch lately.

Yup. All the time, cause I get so excited about cooking the steak and I don’t have a woman in my life.

Sometimes, which is why I thought I could try carnivore diet, it was torture 😆

Turns out occasionally forgetting a side vs being unable to eat sides ever are two different things.

  5. When it comes to steak, side are just crappy distractions.

As long as there’s steak, it’s a good meal.

At a restaurant its steak w side of steak tartar

At home its steak w side of meat

Chef Mike makes a baked potato in 5 minutes. Easy pairing with a steak.

I ate my steak at noon, and just now finished making the smashed potatoes to go with. 🤣

You had three sides. Two sides of steak, and a side of butter. I don’t understand what’s wrong here

Rarely make a side with my steaks, but when I do, it’s usually a heapin’ pile of fried eggs

  12. Capt_Dyl_Panhandle

I take my steak medium rare with a side of steak and a whiskey appetizer

Baked potato always. Oven goes on when I salt the steak

  14. Present_Hippo505

Yes lol. Much rather just eat a pound or more of beef

  15. Legitimate_Run1247

At first I thought it was epoxy coated in the last pic 😂

  16. This is why you should always have a bag of tater tots in the freezer. Melt some butter and mix onion powder into it. Put the tots in a cast iron pan and drizzle the flavored butter over them. Put them in the oven.

Let’s be honest you didn’t forget. You’re just lazy and just wanted to cook the steak.

Who needs sides when you got steak?

I haven’t related more to a post than this one

  19. My_Name_Is_Not_Mark

No. Cooking steak comes down to a science. Sides are where you get creative.

  20. I always do mashed or baked potatoes and green beans

  21. Videopro524

I just go to the deli and get potato salad or Mexican Street corn. Or throw some zucchini on the grill.

  22. _lucidity

With the season, we’ve just been throwing a couple of cobs of corn on the grill and making elotes.

  23. ThePracticalPenquin

I always forget then rush to end up with a great steak and mediocre other shit. It’s who I am I guess

  24. enigmaticpeon

Keep a couple good boxes of Mac n cheese handy for these every-time occasions.

  25. CitizenPSN

Hell, if the steak is big enough, who needs a side?

  26. When pan frying the steak and feeling lazy I just drop cherry tomatoes and garlic cloves or onion/shallots with salt/pepper into the pan and toss them constantly in the beef fat.

I feel like steak plates without some accompanying color looks naked.

The other lazy option is fried rice if you have left over rice in fridge. Throw that into the pan juices when done cooking with diced onion/garlic/salt/pepper, toss for 3 minutes and you have great fried rice. Add a beaten egg if you want even extra protein.

  27. Decent-Explorer2500

Hell, sometimes I have steak as a side with my steak.
