Its like the inverse of the dessert focaccia, we have truly come full circle. How are they?

Is the dough savory as well? A normal roll recipe would be too sweet for this.

Do they come with some type of garlic or parm icing?

  4. OP I am so stealing this idea..I’ll grate some parmasean in..and maybe on when they come out of the oven
.. oh maybe sprinkle with some toasted and crushed pine nuts

Pesto rolls are delicious, they’ve been around for a decade or more

Half Baked Harvest has a version of this combined with cheddar and everything but the bagel seasoning, and it’s been one of my favorite recipes for years. So good!

  7. Yum! I made a version with chipotle and cheddar one time.

You’re trying to reinvent the garlic knot basically

There’s a restaurant in ME, NH, MA, and VT called Amato’s that makes a product called a “stuffer”. They have meat and veggie ones, and it’s basically a cinnnamon roll, make of pizza dough, with topping and cheese in it, and you dip it in pizza sauce. Absolutely delicious! This concept needs more exploring. Good on you OP, these look delicious!

Shouldn’t these be called basil pesto rolls?

I mean… you made a garlic knot with some pesto

Edit: don’t get me wrong, it’s still delicious and looks like you did great

Yum are you the person that had the monster basil plant from Trader Joe’s yesterday and was looking for ways to use the basil?

    If so, great idea 🤩
