Apartment living isn't the best for steak, but cast iron as never done me wrong 🤤

(Yes, I was aiming for rare/blue.)

Looks like a Japanese dish beef tataki. All you need is ponzu sauce.

  2. Did you cook from frozen? It looks pretty rare inside for having such a sear.

  3. It looks like it was seared and left raw. Which is fine, I do like rare steak but this legitimately looks raw/blue if that.

How can someone “aim for blue”? I mean it takes no skill or aim to make your steak raw, just burn it on a pan for some seconds. The crust is good, but I’d pass on this.

Don’t like raw steak, medium well or rare is fine but this is blue.

Great presentation. I don’t do blue/rare so I will let others eat it.

  7. This looks more like seared tuna steak than beef.

If it hit atleast 110 internal, I’d devour. Looks good but hard to tell.

I like a little less sear on my tuna, but other than that it looks great.

I’d eat this for breakfast! Or lunch. Dinner too. YUMMMAY!!

I don’t have mine blue, but since you were going for blue then I think you nailed it. I would still happily eat it.

I mean **I would eat it**, but I’m a freak so I have to say this is definitely blue rare. Chews like Big League I’m sure

  13. It’s never “I undercooked it.”

It’s always, “it looks like shit but that’s what I was going for.”

  14. Great sear, unfortunately it’s way undercooked for my liking
