What are the teeny numbers on the sides of Ball lids?
I’ve never noticed them before! I assume it’s a manufacture date or something but I’m not finding an answer.

Probably something related to the manufacture process, maybe markings to keep regular lids from getting packed as wide mouth, or maybe a batch number.
Ambitious__Squirrel
I see the number 1 a bunch of times, 2 4 7 8 12 18 19. Let me know if you have other fine print to be read!
Muskrat121
I’d guess lot or line numbers for QA/QC tracking.
Waltzing_With_Bears
my guess would be factory then machine numbers so if they get a lot of failures from say 1-14 then they know to inspect it again before normal interval
