I grew up in Chicago and moved out of the country a few years ago. Needless to say, I miss all of the variety of picked condiment goodness. I only have one store that caries one brand of proper giardinera and no places that have sports peppers. So on my roadtrip through the US, I am being some back. What other brands should I get from the Jewels?

Chicago Johnnys is the best around in my opinion. Portillos uses Marconi so a jar of that might be good too.
Is that the Jewel by the Division blue line stop?
I would grab the hot giardiniera. I would eat a lot of Chicago dogs while driving through.
I would also grab a lot of Malort and Gumball Head and Left handed milk Stout.
Like previously mentioned, Marconi is another good option from the grocery store. Graziano’s is my personal favorite. If you can’t make it to the actual deli, it’s also available at the Fixin’ Franks stands inside Home Depot.
Why does mild giardinera exist?
Marconi is good. I like the Mezzetta sliced hot cherry peppers.
I always buy the Marconi giard relish. All the same great taste but it’s so much easier to get an even spread on your sandwiches.
Tony’s Deli in Edison Park makes their own giardiniera and it is my favorite!
Mauro Provisions is the best giardinera in Chicago. Can order online.
Bari giard is my personal fav
My favorite giardiniera is at Pop’s and they do sell it. Jay’s in Harwood Heights is also great, but I don’t think they bottle it.
Dell’ Alpe forever
If you can go to Costco they have a solid giardinera and it’s cheeeeeap
Mild????
I like the minced giardiniera from that pickle guy. 🔥
Get JP Graziano or Caruso Provisions. Best in the city imo
Anyone know a brand that uses olive oil?
