Toast homemade bread on the stove. Toasters are for little kids and gross bag bread

Get a piece of parchment paper, folded in half. Put the slice in between the two halves and pop into the toaster. No mess, no hassle trying to pull it out.

Better than a toaster oven, use your oven as a toaster: through em into the broiler. Just keep an eye on them.
