Baked Clams don’t get enough love in Chicago – who makes your favorite?
Same with shrimp de jonghe. These are at Capri out in Willow Springs. Who does your favorite baked clams? East Coasters – Chicago baked clams, or Clams oregannata?

I feel like they used to be a fixture at every Italian restaurant in the Chicagoland area up to the 80s or 90s.
Nothing accompanies a pizza better than baked clams.

I need to throw in Marino’s in Elk Grove Village does my favorite by far. Only spot with consistently great clams (as in they’re fatty and fresh), and they’re little necks not manilla clams

Viaggio does great chicago baked clams – I actually like the ones at the Highland Park location slightly more than West Loop – but both are great!
