Habaneros are great. They’re probably the perfect spicy pepper in the sense that even to an experienced chili head they offer a very good kick of heat. Only wish it didn’t hurt so much on the way out lol.

Why? Just enjoy peppers without having to prove anything.

I prefer to add one or two peppers to a dish like chicken or salad and it is enough.

I’ll never get to that point. Habaneros are not to be trifled with.

Surely when you’re resorting to eating chilis straight from the plant instead of cooking them in food you have a problem…

Mind you, I am probably not that far off that point as my tolerance is way in excess of my family and friends. My wife is the only one who comes close, mostly because I’ve encouraged her to try what I eat but she only dabbles in what I wade knee deep in.

I had a Mexican coworker when I worked in a pizza shop in high school he would take habaneros and dip them in sugar and snack on them every day. He would sit there sweating and try to tell me it wasn’t spicy.

I like all types of mouth burn, but I believe habaneros are the hottest peppers you can just eat, enjoyably

Your mouth can build up tolerance, but your colon can’t.

Slice em thin and enjoy the warmth and perfume they add to various food .They are fine, fine seasoning peppers.

I find cooking them reduces the heat but keeps a lot of the flavor. They are my go-to for tacos. I will use one pepper per one pound of meat. I cook them with the onions and work it all into my beef filling. You can throw some fresh sliced pepper on your taco to bump up the heat.
