Smash or pass?

  1. I’m sure it’s delicious but there is something about making a sandwich with pasta as the filling that doesn’t sit right. I know it’s hypocritical, as I love Italian food and will smash bread and pasta and wine all in one meal as well but the immediate combo makes me feel my body bloat up just thinking about it

In college I used to make mac n cheese a lot. And then use the leftovers mac n cheese in grilled mac n cheese sandwiches. Shit was the bomb

It probably tastes great, but it looks like when you are in an anatomy class doing a dissection, and you cut into an organ and get a gross surprise….and immediately feel sick.

If I could still rush headlong into food coma territory without worrying about acid reflux, I’d be down. As it is though, I’d have to eat it in smaller portions over the course of an entire day. Which I’d still do, I just can’t safely 100% combo that monster.

  5. Oh fuck yeah.

Sometiems when I’m feeling extra hungry and I have left over pasta, I’ll make a “spaghetti burrito” where I throw whatever pasta is leftover (ziti, lasagna, spaghetti, penne ala vodka…etc etc. ) in a tortilla and grill it up. It’s SO GOOD. Especially with some extra hot sauce

Did you burn the pasta? Or were you just being extra and grilling the cross section too?

    (Carbs x 2) + bacon & cheese = SMASH!!!

Replace the pasta with eggs or something and I’ll smash. Seriously what’s the appeal of carb on carb???

Pass too much carbs for my liking in a sandwich needs a lot more meat / salad to complement
