I got my tomato plant as a seedling in June. Been watering 2x/day as the plant is on my front porch and has been getting full sun most of the day in 90-100 degree weather. I used Miracle Grow tomato plant food every 2 weeks. I noticed mid-last week the roots were growing out of the bottom of the container and a few leaves were turning yellow. I transplanted it to a larger pot on Saturday and put a shelf in the pot to allow the roots to drain the water (before it didn’t have a space to drain the water). I had one tomato with blossom rot but the rest are healthy just not ripening. Is this root rot? Or some other nutrient deficiency? I’ve read if I have blossom rot to add Calcium to the soil but only one had the one blossom rot tomato so I’ve not added it yet. I also read its possibly root rot so cut back to watering only 1x/day. This is my first time trying a garden of any kind so I’m not sure what this is or what to do about it. All I know is that it is turning more yellow and looking sickly.
