After spending months reading this subreddit and watching hours of YouTube videos, I finally decided to take the plunge and invest in a coffee machine and grinder. Since it was my first setup, I didn't want to rush into it, so I opted for a Bambino Plus and an Eureka Mignon Zero. I'm really enjoying it so far. My third shot was good, and by the fifth shot, I had something almost shareable with a fellow coffee enthusiast. Today, I used some spare time at the office to design and laser cut an acrylic riser for my scale so that it wouldn't hang over the edge of the drip tray anymore.
I'm looking forward to continuing to learn and enjoying the almost limitless supply of caffeine!

The setup looks nice. Where did you get that scale from?

  2. Welcome to the Bambino Plus family, it’s a great little machine. And thanks for the photos of the acrylic stand, now I have a new thing to hyper fixate on not having for my own and am suddenly VERY annoyed that my scale hangs off 😂

Hm.. Isn’t this the same knock box with different branding and rubber stick? I guess it’s easy enough to make 2 similar, but they are very similar. I don’t know about the photo angle, but I have the ECM one and mine looks more like your pic than the one on the ECM page.

Edit: No, I was wrong. Mine’s top is more angled as in the ECM picture. This was a silly comment, ignore it.
