This year I grew vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers in the largest garden I have ever worked in. After a summer full of my own fresh produce, it is now time to begin preserving as much as I can for the winter. These are the vegetables I preserved this week.

  4. What fun to watch you gather and create all your own recipes ! My Grandmother would make chili sauce with oodles of tomatoes that we would pick at a local farm. Her house always smelled like fall ! Beautiful bounty after all that hard work ! Enjoy !

  5. Gm. I love a diet of fresh veggies and fruits (Azure Standards) and good meat. I am a marketer for Melaleuca and they have a ranch with very affordable meat bundles. For 20 some years I was vegan what was I thinking lol. Thanks for some great ideas for recipes.

  14. Bats have symbolic significance in various spiritual traditions, symbolizing transformation, guidance, and a connection to the spirit realm. Daytime bat sightings can carry spiritual insights and teachings, offering wisdom and lessons for personal growth.

  15. Beautiful garden! FYI, if you pour a thin layer of olive oil on top of your pesto it will keep it from turning black.

  16. Ally- tip from experience: for removing tomato skins before processing for sauces etc: the easiest way is to cut an X on the bottom of tomatoes, freeze them overnight then remove from freezer, let them defrost on counter or in fridge and the skins will peel right off as if you boiled them.

  17. Wonderful video Ally! You had so much success the first year in your garden! It will only get better in the seasons to come. Congrats on your efforts!
