I saw a post earlier that said they made pavlova and it was not even close to what I just made for our Australian themed party this weekend. So I thought I’d share mine…

Also, no shade to the other poster. I saw a comment that said it may be a Cuban version or something to do with Florida humidity. As long as it was what they wanted, more power to them!

This was my second (and third) attempt. All three turned out great and tasted like eating a cloud in the best way possible.

Eww why is it so thick? J/K yours looks delicious as well!

I mean, you definitely shaded them with your title. But that’s ok I guess since you’re sort of not really giving them props and then humble bragging at the end there.

Damn Australians always trying to take our inventions.

Your pavlova looks gorgeous but your comment does sound petty. It’s clear the other person was making a local delicacy using the local name for it. And it looked gorgeous. They got shit on enough in that thread, bringing it to another one seems unnecessary.

Maybe it’s because yours is so sunken/flat looking in the center? I envision a pavlova as more of a dome either way it looks really pretty and like Brie with fruit at first glance!

Having an Australian themed party seems a little… weird. Kinda makes me feel commodified

Would have been nicer to have just shown your work instead of talking shit

Numerous ppl stated the earlier version is the Miami version of Pavlova and is a real recipe and yet you still made this petty/shady post. . .

And you said you did this for an Australian themed party . . . very weird.

Weird place to be a dick buddy….

As a kiwi I can say this looks like a real Pavlova. It’s basically a huge meringue.

    OMG, Ja’mie…girl, is that you?

The title is not doing you any good, same with the comment. Nice bake though

I mean what you’ve done is not an aussie-style pavlova either, but I’d still accept it being called a pavlova and not insist it be called a meringue based desert.

Well after looking at looking at the other post I can see why OP felt emboldened to be so shady, the comments on the last one were just as bad.

    “No shade”

Was throwing shade from beginning to end.

  16. Smeetsie11

No shade? This post is nothing but shade. So unnecessary.

  17. weird_core_

Why even bring up another post? Like what was the point? If you wanted to show your Pavlova just do thst without throwing shade at someone you don’t even know.

  18. Great job, I usually just buy the shell at Woolies

It’s okay. But is full of snark so probably tastes bitter.

Next time bake and post your creations with love; you’ll get a much better result!

Even though that dessert looks tasty, this post leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Also, the weird bragging at the end was giving Trump-vibes.
