Really? The butter burger is the healthiest burger lmao ok

  2. corgihandler

Which one comes with the most meat? Probably 5 Guys

  3. BiggimusSmallicus

I am highly skeptical of their results lolol

Edit: let’s be clear here folks I’m also a total fuckin idiot, so

  4. No_Paper_8794

so glad I enjoy the healthiest fast food burger the most lmao

  5. portugamerifinn

I would expect a double cheeseburger from Five Guys to have worse nutritional value than a single burger the size of my ear from many other places.

  6. Schizorazgriz

This isn’t measured by weight, so it is literally useless. Click bait.

  7. thegiukiller

And the quality around my area has tanked drastically. It’s disappointing. 15 years ago, they had the best burger in the city. Now it’s difficult to find a good burger into town.

  8. AncientZz1

So whatchu saying is that I can eat like 4-5 butter burgers per 1 five guys burger? Sounds like a plan

  9. badjettasex

Cheeseburgers are not chosen on the basis of their relative healthiness.

  10. chocolateboomslang

That’s what I’m concerned about when I’m buying cheeseburgers. Right guys?

  11. Jonny2284

I assume five guys in America is like it is in the UK where it being a double is the default?

In which case of course it’s the worst, it’s not being compared to equivalent burgers.

  12. DaddyTuesday

Or as it’s otherwise known, least healthy.

  13. Isame_mario

Why doesn’t the butterburger have cheese on the “most unhealthy CHEESEburger” list?

  14. International-Oil377

This is incredibly stupid. the burgers all have very different size.

Obviously the cheeseburger from McD will have less calories, fat and all that, it’s the smallest.

  15. browmftht

uh what happens if you add a slice of cheese to the butter burger?

  16. PNW_Forest

I call bullshit. The Bacon King exists, which is a burger topped with (i think) 6 strips of bacon and 3 tablespoons of mayo with 2 large burger patties. I think Wendy’s Baconator is similar. You *could not convince* me that the five guys burger is worse than that.

Also understanding that the Five Guys burger is a DOUBLE by default, going up against most other places single patty burgers. If they were going to be fair and unbiased, they’d go for the little or compare other burger places double patties. They didn’t do that.

Conclusion: this place manufactured the study to either dunk on Five Guys, or for the shock value of targetting a highly popular burger chain. Bullshit study worth less than nothing. OP, you should be ashamed for peddling this nonsense.

You can hardly compare a 5 guys cheeseburger to a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Stupid list.

  18. mpschettig

The butter burger is the healthiest burger? That sounds counter intuitive lol

  19. 2ADrSuess

They used a two patty cheeseburger from Five Guys, but a single patty burger from tons of other places….this is stupid.

  20. IngestingTendies

Hm. I wonder if they’re taking size into account? Feels weird to take a mega small mcdonalds cheeseburger and compare it to larger cheeseburgers with different toppings. It can’t be healthier, it’s got to just be smaller, and therefore less calories.

  21. incrediblystiff

The most unhealthy or the unhealthiest or even the least healthy

  22. GettinWiggyWiddit

I worked at five guys back in the day, they honestly had good quality ingredients. I can’t imagine in a million years that McDonald’s would be healthier lol

  23. This “study” is baseless misinformation. The fact that vitamins, fiber, carbohydrates, aren’t included make this useless. Not including calories makes it criminal.

The article was written by PlushCare Content Team. PlushCare is a virtual patient company. This study is just made to be consumer content to generate clicks. Otherwise known as click bait. Anyone that publishes content cannot be trusted for useful information. If this was shown to a medical peer reviewed journal they would be ripped a new one.

  24. mpschettig

Stunning to me how few of these I can actually get. The Buffalo metro area has over a million people yet 9 of these 16 chains don’t operate here. All we have is Five Guys, McD, BK, Sonic, Wendy’s, DQ, and A&W

  25. I mean I’d throw “study” in quotes too.

First off they’re not comparing like to like, the Five Guys cheeseburger is a double. So it’s more comparable to a Dave’s Double. which it will hit higher on Calories and Fat, but that’s also why their burgers taste better, I’d much rather have a burger that’s higher in fat and lower in sugar as well.

  26. TwistedMemories

Smash Burgers is some 200 miles from me and Fatburgers is about 45 miles from me. All the others are less than 10 miles from where I live.

At 45 miles, I considered that somewhat close, but I’m not driving 45 miles for a burger. Although I’ve driven close to 80 miles for a good steak, but that’s a good steak.

  27. scuffling

WTF is this comparison. None of this makes sense when comparing singles, doubles, with/without cheese. Not even adding the baconator or double whopper. A whole lot of nothing going on here.

Might as well compare a whole Costco chicken to KFC tenders.

  28. sasasasuke

I mean yeah… Mcdonalds cheeseburger is like 20g of meat and a speck of onions, compared to that craveable monstrosity from Five Guys

  29. EquivalentNo6141

McDonalds is almost the best? Yeah stfu.

  30. NTufnel11

    No Freddy’s – sample invalid.

But seriously, this appears to just be adding up the amounts of “bad” things – defined as sodium, fat, and sugar. It doesn’t control for the size so it’s not about percentages. Larger items will simply result in worse values even if they are leaner. One could take away that eating mcdonalds cheeseburgers is twice as good as a double cheeseburger, but since they’re smaller actually eat two of them and effectively just eat more carbs from bread.

Since “energy” is coming largely from fat anyway, it feels like you’d get the same results by just ordering by total calories instead of these arbitrary metrics.

  31. ExperimentalToaster

Yeah it has 50 somethingSomething, which is more than twice what one of the other logos has at 18 somethingSomething, dunno what those are though because it’s so out of focus.

  32. WheresTheSauce

It’s also somehow the worst and least flavorful
