I’ve got a wooded area behind my house that I use as a feeding by ground for the local wildlife in November (pumpkins and gourds after Halloween get thrown there). Town did some brush clean up and must have disturbed seeds, resulting in about 15 plants throwing out fruit!
I’ve got several that that are putting out pumpkins and gourds, but then there is this. I’ve never thrown any squash back there, but this doesn’t look like a gourd. If it is, it has the most boring mutation.
So what is this?!

Zucchini get like that if you don’t pick them early enough. They turn into proper squash.
