  1. That looks so good! I usually drown my breakfast biscuits in gravy anyway. Might as well embrace this.

  2. Does Chef John ever have unsuccessful experiments? With the exception of that one video we won't talk about.

  3. I'm going to head out and get me some turkey mince and give that a try to get some early Xmas vibes and maybe even add some cranberries to it too.

  4. Can somebody explain the American use of the word "sausage" to me because by definition sausage is meat (typically salted or smoked) that is stuffed into a casing. Examples are something like bratwurst / kabanos / Polish kielbasa. In the US though, minced meat somehow becomes "sausage" after it's cooked in a pan which would lead me to believe that tacos with ground beef would be called tacos with sausage in the US? I've also seen videos where people are making pizza and they refer to minced meat (that they're going to use as a topping) as sausage before they even begin seasoning it which doesn't make any sense to me 😅

  5. Chef, I'm just using regular canned biscuits. And I'm going to bake them in the oven to get some browning instead of simply steaming them. Fight me.

  7. Wow. This was an amazing watch. There are so many cooking tips in this video, i love it. As someone who loves to cook, John explained every step in a detailed enough way to get anyone to start cooking great and better meals at home. Home cooked meals are the best, trust me

  8. Uploaded today! This came up on my recommended and I watched and enjoyed it as I would any cooking video. At the end I was thoroughly impressed and went to see how old this video was and how many people must have made this exact recipe over the years. Much to my surprise, Chef John is still at it! Thanks for the continued inspiration this autumn!

  9. Why do Americans call it sausage? Its minced or ground meat. A sausage is a sausage…..

  10. I think the gravy could be a little thicker. Served with country potatoes and a couple of over easy eggs.

  11. What about putting some sage on this too? This looks so fantastic. I just drool every time you make anything.

  12. Fall and winter are just around the corner, so this apple, sausage gravy, and dumplings recipe will be perfect…

  13. Saying "Apple Sausage Gravy Dumplings" to the tune of 🎵 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 🎵 is pretty fun 😊

  14. Adding that title to my list of things that can be said to the tune of the teenage mutant ninja turtles theme song
