Forgive the poor picture quality, I was ready to eat!! This was at Rocca in Tampa. It was very very good – perfectly al dente and the ragu was also excellent. But what surprised me the most was how close it actually was to good quality homemade pasta and sauce. The thing that edged it out IMO was the quality of the ingredients. I suspect many of you are closer to making "Cima Della cima" pasta than you know. And if you're in Tampa Bay Rocca is definitely worth checking out.

Thats what i notice at very highly rated spots or michelin starred places is
1. its prepared beautifully like edible art
2. its as close to you can get to moms or grandmas homecooked meals
Still nothing can really beat them 🙂
The presentation seems a bit off for a Michelin star restaurant, doesn’t it?

I once had very mid tier pasta at a starred place in amsterdam. this looks way better.
