I am getting married on October 20 to my fiance that I've been with for 11 years. I have always been a big guy but I didn't want to be big for my wedding pictures. I decided to go on a diet. From February to now, I went from 262lbs to 207lbs. I am proud of myself and happy for the big day. I allow myself one day a week to eat what I want and today was that day. I have been a long time lurker of this sub but wasn't confident enough to post. I usually go for a nice ribeye but I was craving a strip. Reverse sear then in the pan for a decent crust. I prefer medium so it came out perfect for me. So I posted. Cheers!!

Eating beef and vegetables should be daily dieting, not considered a cheat day. Eating a giant portion of carbs once a week is a cheat day.

I’m assuming the potato is the cheat? Because that’s a typical post workout dinner for me.

I really hope the potato is what pushed you into the cheat day territory because the rest of your shit looks very healthy from a macro’s perspective at least to me my dude.

What is that salad dressing you have hidden? Garlic marinara dressing?

Omg the last picture. God damn that’s good eating.

I need to post my psychotic cheat days so you can see the pure chaos

Heluva nice meal there. I agree with the others about macros, but all that food would last me 3 meals lately. The wife and I do a strip one night a week, and I have the leftovers for breakfast and lunch the next day. I’ve been on a successful weight loss quest for a couple of years using glp-1’s, and my appetite just isn’t what it was. I’d devour this over my 3 meals (which is why I go rare on the first meal)

If you can reduce carbs and sugar everyday you will be fine. I’m on a diet myself, trying to quit snacking and eating sugar.

I’ve lost a hell of a lot of weight lately – 30kg – and I’ve eaten steaks like this prob twice a week. Well done on your progress and your steak

Looks great but I don’t see why this is a cheat day

You said medium, looks close to medium rare, which I like (hell, I like rare to well if the steak is free). The whole meal looks awesome

Outside of that potatoe I don’t see much of a cheat, clean whole foods and no artificial sugars.

You probably can eat this minus the potato more often and not worry about putting on the pounds

TF are you eating rest of the time?! This is pretty healthy for a cheat day…

    Great steak, perfectly executed 👌🏼👌🏼
